8 A.M. UPDATE:8 1 20 Hurricane Isaias is 20 miles east of Andros Island, Bahamas, and 50 south of Nassau, with maximum sustained winds of 85 mph, moving northwest at 12 mph. Forecasters expect a decrease in forward speed for the next few days, followed by a north-northwestern turn. – With the forward speed throttling down, Isaias’ winds should begin reaching the Volusia County area Sunday morning into early Monday, leaving some extra time for preparations. – Volusia County has closed six low-traffic beach ramps to remove toll booths.
