The GoFundMe page has already raised nearly $8,000, Coryell said, much of it from fellow paramedics in the region. She said her 501(c)3 was specifically set up to help members in need.
“The output has just been incredible,” Coryell said. “I just cannot wait for Jerry to get better to see how much he means to his EMS family.”
According to the page, Jones has been part of EMS since 1999. In 2004, he became a lead paramedic, according to the GoFundMe page.
