The state announced six new coronavirus-related deaths in Volusia County Thursday, three of which were residents or staff members of long-term care facilities, bringing the county’s total number of deaths to 238. 

Volusia County has announced six new coronavirus deaths each day for the past three days; the county has recorded 18 deaths so far this week. 

Of the deaths in Volusia County, 47 have been recorded in September. There were no new deaths announced in Flagler County. 

Statewide, there were 177 new coronavirus fatalities, bringing the total number of resident deaths to 13,795. Florida also recorded two additional non-resident deaths, bringing that total to 166. The state does not include new non-resident deaths in its total daily number of coronavirus deaths. …. more at
